A Week in Washington

We took last week off and road-tripped up to Washington with some of our closest friends.  We stayed in an amazing cabin near Leavenworth, swam in glacial rivers and lakes, camped in beautiful places, listened to endless good music, ate our weight in ice cream, shakes and s'mores, and backpacked in the North Cascades near Lake Chelan.  It felt great to spend some time in hot, dry mountainous areas, so different from our wet coastal climate, and to spend so much time outside.  This was also the first time I've been backpacking since my Lyme diagnosis (and really before that, it's probably been 4+ years) so that was REALLY exciting, albeit hard.  It's been one of my goals during the healing process, so I was pretty ecstatic to be able to do it!

I'm back to work this week, getting ready for a couple more Farmers Market booths the next couple of weeks, and prepping for a few other projects.  Work always feels a lot more enjoyable after some time away to rest and recharge the creative juices.

Enjoy the photos, and cheers to the weekend!
